Both domain names direct to one web portal, which is the Official web portal of the Government of Himachal Pradesh, India.
Department of Information Technology, Government of Himachal Pradesh has formed a team headed by the web information manager, which is responsible for maintaining the portal. The NIC Himachal Pradesh State Centre is responsible for design, development of content as per respective Departmental requirements for the web portal.

Only some of the Departmental websites have website contents in Hindi. Other Departmental Website Nodal Officers have to initiate steps to translate their content in Hindi to have their website content in Hindi also. Where-ever possible, efforts are being made to make the site bilingual.

The eligible candidates for employment by the employers can be searched online through the link ‘Employment Job Portal’ under ‘eServices’ menu of the web portal. As employer, you may need to register with through the Job Portal link so that the Department of Labour & Employment may give permission to your for using the database of eligible candidates.
The Orders and cause list of HP High Court and subordinate courts are available online under ‘Judiciary’ menu of the web portal.
The Vidhan Sabha questions and proceedings are available at HP Vidhan Sabha website and the same is linked under ‘Government’ menu and through ‘HP Vidhan Sabha’ link at the web portal. And during Vidhan Sabha sessions, these are put under the main animated Announcement section of the web portal.
The Salary and GPF statements of Government employees are available under ‘eServices’ menu of the web portal. The same can be viewed by downloading the eSalary mobile app available in Mobile App Store link at Home Page of the web portal. The App is available for Android, IOS and Windows Phone.
The Pension statements of the Government pensioners are available at ‘Pensioners Helpline’ menu link under ‘eServices’ and same can be used for income tax purposes. You need to give your PPO number and part of your name to view these details. The same can be viewed by downloading the ePension mobile app available in Mobile App Store link at Home Page of the web portal. The App is available for Android, IOS and Windows phone.
The Transfer orders of the employees of the concerned Departments are available at websites of the respective departments, which are listed at ‘Departments’ link at home page of the web portal. For online issued transfers , please select the link eServices on top header bar and select eService Book link to view transfer orders of some departments which are issued online only. The same can be viewed by downloading the eTransfers mobile app available in Mobile App Store link at Home Page of the web portal. The App is available for Android, IOS and Windows phone.
For booking of bus tickets of Himachal Road Transport and HP Tourism Development Corporation, you may visit the Tourism section on the home page. You can also book online, various hotels of HPTDC in the State using your UPI/ credit/ debit cards.
You may visit the Citizen Service Centre, named LokMitra Kendra in Himachal Pradesh in your Panchayat. In case the CSC is not operational in your Panchayat, you may visit other CSC in nearby Panchayats and request the operator to arrange this Video Conference for you on nominal charge. You will need to give the prisoner’s name, your phone/Email for scheduling this VC. Two visits to the CSC will be required, one for sending VC request and other for holding the VC.
The polling station of electors and other services related to Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are available at ‘ECI’ link under ‘Search Directory’ section of home page of the web portal. During State Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, these are placed under announcement section of the web portal for easy access to the citizens.
The Registration as elector is available at link ‘Online Services for Voters’ under ‘eServices’ menu of the web portal and you can register online on the ECI database through this option without visiting any Government office.

The chatbot, named Sahayak, is an automated response system to assist the users in searching relevant website content, including hyperlinked web content, in an interactive manner.
No, it is an automated response system which tries to answer questions by selecting the best possible answer from the available database of questions and answers. It does not forward any query or request for help to any human being.
